Western states large stockman 4.5 inch frame .one blade has been modified into a sheep’s foot .I think it may have been used as a dynamite knife because it resembles the dynamite knife that western states made for miners .

G dog . Your 4 line looks to be from the 1920 to early 30s . Both blades are tang stamped so it’s the early 4 line. Is the punch stamped ? Not many are but if so it’s even earlier. Very nice find with that Sword Brand / 4 liner .

This one is from the private stash of Charlie Compagna, who brought us the TC Barlows, the Waynorth Cutlery, and all the great SFOs he puts out. Thanks Charlie, great to see ya at the show.

Wow! Super clean! Looks in great shape for a 1940-65 Case
... so for a 60+ year old knife looks like it just come off the showroom floor

Great knife, great bone just a different color. I noticed the nail nicks in the main blade look different. You have a nice regular deepish one. The one on mine looks botched or not ground in deep enough. Very shallow and hard to use and too small. Much smaller than my other Case knives with clip blades. Great pattern and eras.

This pocket knife arrived in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread and also to be added to my general pocket knife collection. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It is a RANGER, three blades, two tang stamps, 4" closed, three springs, stockman pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "RANGER (over) PROV. U.S.A." The third blade front tang stamp says "PATENT (over) 3,317,996" The shield is NOT original to this pocket knife, which arrived without a shield. Overall, it is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed very little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.
