...my goal was to show a little at a time. It keeps the thread going, and I think keeps folks more interested, rather than just dump all the photos all at once.

1 last pick to show here, and we'll move on to something else next time.
If this is your last knife pick pic, now would be a good time to show the entire group of picks all together

(if you feel so inclined).
Personally, I think that would be both cool and interesting to see.

That was the last of the picks I have that were made to offset lulls in knife production during the first few years DFKB was starting up. There was an attempt at re-releasing the knife pick accessory this last summer, and I have a few of those, but I consider them a separate project. So I'll show those at a later time.
I'll set these picks up and take a group photo to show here!

Took this photo this morning. They sort of have a peacock tail effect with all the colors fanned out.

Maybe once all my collection has been posted, I can go back through and do group shots of all the same patterns, or all the same handle materials. Lots of possibilities.
I think a shot of all the different burnt stag would look pretty neat.

Agreed, the possibilities are endless.
I really enjoy looking at photos of multiple knives with similar characteristics, i.e., pattern, handle material, blade type, etc., in order to compare and contrast.
Unlike the collectors who pursue it, this hobby never gets old.

Very true, yes in regards to the hobby, it is ever fascinating. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, and still feel like a novice.

Lets switch gears here. The Old Man Jack pattern was built on the same frame as the Old Man Norman, just turning the barlow style into a jack style by shortening the bolster and adding a cap. The Old Man Jack ended up being made mostly under the Titusville Cutlery line, other than a few collaborations with Mammoth Mike.
Here is one of them with blue mammoth tooth with whale shield.

I love mammoth handles (who doesn't!), and those two Old Man Jacks also have some of the coolest shields I've ever seen.

There were a number of 1 piece prototypes made for Tuna Valley on the Old Man Jack frame. Here is 1 of them in Burnt Stag handles. Back side of the blade is engraved "PROTOTYPE"

Gorgeous as usual, Carl

But, again: Only ONE?? Seriously? Why is Ryan doing that to the rest of us

It's not fair!
I can't wait until you post a family group photo of all your Stags...that will be awesome

hehe, well the main release for these came under the Titusville Cutlery brand. The prototypes were stamped with Tuna Valley just to make them something special. But the Titusville release was a 50 piece in burnt stag, although with lambsfoot blade shape instead of spear.

All your OMJs are nice, but I am particularly fond of the Amber Stag TV uses. Great stuff

Yep it's pretty nice stuff. I've seen it during assembly, before buffed, and it just looks jet black. You wouldn't ever know the color that lies beneath.

Beautiful knives and great show as always Carl.
Here's a few more Phoenix Jacks I picked up this weekend at the Pigeon Forge Show to add to the Amber Stag 154-CM & Catalina Wine Mixer Bone 154-CM I traded for at the Lexington show.
