Finally completed the 2009 Queen farmers jack set. These handles vary and I'm fortunate to get this pretty nice example.Thanks John and all who help me in this endeavor.

Got this earliest Camillus from a friend in Oregon. Like a lot of these, it has half stops on the spey. Still has good action after over a hundred years.

I believe I know why. Seems Dale got it from you, maybe gave it to him. You don’t see many knives marked with the early mark on both blades.

I have my first on the way from a lot of 8 knives for cheap, curious to see the maker that is all I have for pictures go off of. Bone looks like Catt or Robeson to me, curious to hear what others think?

Great looking Farmers Jack and looks to be in great shape PD ... Cool score and please do post the maker once the knife is received... Great looking bone and usually I associate the Catt knives with worm groove bone though do not think all their knives had that jigging ( ) but not seeing it in these photos of the knife...

You may be right JohnR and ScoutKnives on the Camillus call out, here is a similar farmers jack I found sold on eBay. I don't believe mine has the same grafting blade, I wonder if there were variations?

Most were ordinary spey blades PD, but for a short time the “bark loosener “ blade (as Schrade called it) was substituted as a specialty budding blade.

I’m saying Camillus also, even though the shield says it may be Utica.

Robeson , we suppose,never made this pattern . Cattaraugus’ version is on a different frame. See the first page of this thread for a Catt example.
