Here's one of mine, Baby Bullet in stag, Tim Britton-

I don't have a whole lot of lockback knives besides a couple Buck 110s, a CS folder on my keychain and a few east Asian minis in the junk drawer. This Gerber SFO Folding Sportsman, however, recently joined my EDC rotation. It disappears into the pocket for its length and it serves as a great worry stone with nice jigged bone handles, yet it locks up tight and has just enough girth to feel properly substantial in hand. The drop-point blade also fits in with just about any combination of knives I normally EDC, so I think there'll be a place for it in the RFP for a while to come.

You folks are sure posting some wonderful examples.

Put this one up when I got it but forgot to include it here. A Vom Cleff(Lion Cutlery Co.)3 blade lobster pen that features a locking master blade that is released by pushing down on the closed manicure blade. First time I have ever seen one like this. Company ceased operations around 1913. Cost:$1.50.

Plenty of beautiful and quite unusual knive in this thread. K7K, I really like the lobster lock. Heres one I want to get customized. Buck 112 with nickle silver bolsters. The Damascus blade and some matching scales in cross draw holster would make a neat edc.

Don't ask me why but I never really looked this thread over too much but did so this morning and man there are some beauties shown here!!! Lockbacks are some of my favorite knives, of course the vintage ones more so.

I have always wanted a lockback whittler but was never lucky enough to get my hands on one so I was really glad when I was able to scoop this one up. WHITE is marked on each tang and nothing else. I sent the pictures to Bernie and this was his response.

"Interesting knife.

Looks to be from Sheffield.

Probably by Matthew White, active ~1845-1869, a small shop of around a dozen men. See Tweedale 2nd edition for details."

I don't have a copy of Tweedale book and could not find it listed anywhere else? Even though the knife has repairs on the end I still love the darn thing.

Very nice lockbacks Mike. That little lockback whittler is a very interesting piece of cutlery. I can't imagine that building such a knife would have been a simple matter by any means.

Thanks, the knife still has the etch but it's faint and I could not get a picture of it. This next one a great small 3 3/4" closed lockback. It came in the handmade box shown with the straight knives. Can't make out the name or marks on the tang. Tight little knife though.
