We don't have many like the one Unk's friend killed. This little feller has showed up on the camera many times the last few days. He was the 1st buck to come out Thanksgiving afternoon and never gave my grandson a shot. (The date on the camera is not correct but the time of day should be correct.)
I wish Christian could have got this one.

I thought this was a neat picture, two old nannies having a little disagreement while a little one watches from behind a gravity feeder:
Such tempers! Maybe this was really on Black Friday, looks like some of the ol' gals they showed on TV fighting over the last bargain on the shelf.

Awesome pics Philip!!!

Spent some time at the park chopping and burning wood yesterday! Was too nice not to be outdoors.

Add in a little axe sharpening and hot chocolate and bah-dah-boom!!! ::tu:: ::marine_salute::

Have never duck hunted until this season.
Have been twice, and have been skunked this far.

Have enjoyed the process. It is totally different than deer hunting.
Here’s a couple of pics from those two hunts.

Great pictures guys!

Phil, we have no shortage of hogs on our lease. There are about 7 or 8 feeders across 1,000 acres, and we get pictures like the one below off every camera.

Unk, with that many hogs competing with the deer and cattle, somebody ought to start the Lone Star Sausage Company. ::hmm::

Love it GDOGG!!! Love it! Thanks for posting here!!

In this pic from our little retention pond there are: Mallards, Wood Storks and Sandhill Cranes!!

Sorry the definition isn't there....

That's a pretty cool picture, Scott! I always thought the wood storks were about as ugly as a buzzard, the Sandhill cranes are always interesting to watch. I suppose there are some fish in the retention ponds that hold water year 'round. Some of the larger ones surely would have edible fish, I'd be doing catch and release in the small ones. Did you ever notice all the dry retention ponds on the 4 lane divided highways that run east from 19 toward Gainesville and Ocala. They were dug on high sandy land that needs no retention pond, seems like a waste of tax money. ::hmm:: Sorry for getting off topic.

All kinds of outdoor adventures going on - hogs, bucks, fighting does, black powder, axe work - you name it. Good to see all my knife collecting buddies living it up! OH

We had Pogonip Fog this morning AKA “Ice Fog” or “Freezing Fog”. Some strange and beautiful stuff. Wish I had better pictures but I was working.
Look at a spiny white icicles on this tree. All the trees, bushes, etc in the area looked like when you get a real light Christmas tree flock at a distance. Up close you see the little spiny ice formations on all the plants.
If you enlarge pics you can see it pretty good.

I agree with you, Quick Steel, "unique" is a good word for "ice fog", never heard of it in Florida, we're lucky to see plain old frost 3 or 4 times a year. Must be global warming, we've already had frost 3 times this year. ::hmm:: Used to see the dirt roads "spewed up" when we had a really cold spell, you could hear it crunch under the tires.
Been real cool today, the high was 44, a good afternoon for going to the woods. This little feller came easing through the clay pit this afternoon. Two does gave him away, they started staring at him long before I was able to see him. .243 did its' job. When I was loading him in the truck the coyotes started howling not too far away. That's an eerie sound when they are real close. ::paranoid::
He dropped where he was standing.

Stringing him up in the old oak tree.
