I've got too many knives and not enough time. I was cleaning up and oiling some of my older EDCs and snapped this shot while I was at it. I'm goin' fishin' over the week end and I plan to take the camera and get some shots of my EDCs in their natural habitat.

Squatch, all handle scales are highly interesting. Very nice.

Great pics, great knives.

Knives at work. (Actually the Lanny's Clip cut the fan belts I was replacing and I felt guilty using such a beautiful knife for such a dirty job so I pulled out my regular work knives.)

Playing with my phone camera just before dusk and managed to get a couple images of a knife that came out looking pretty good I think.

Very nice looking S&M Winterbottom Bone Spear Point #69 Barlow, sunknife.

How would you rate the walk & talk on that one? (Curious if it has the notorious S&M gritty action?)

I have a couple of S&M knives with that gritty action you speak of but this particular knife is solid. Smooth opening and closing action with modestly strong pull, no blade wobble and locks solidly into the half stop and fully open positions. I wish all the knives I owned had the action of this one.
It would be a real treat to be able to handle and see every knife before buying it to add to a collection but so far I've mostly purchased mine through the internet/mail order. This one came off the bay and may have been from a member here, it was a good deal and a great knife IMO.

sunknife: An exceptionally good looking Barlow. Particularly in the first photo the "flat" lighting perfectly accents the handle.

Agreed, I'm a sucker for Winterbottom bone because of where I grew up and live and Queen had some of the best.

Those are two very nice knives Ivoryman, nicely photographed too. When I blow up the pics on my screen I can see every detail captured in each of those knives, flawless.

Great knives and fine photos.WOW !!. It's hard to find any brand other than Case, Buck and the foreign brands in my area stores and usually you can buy those cheaper on line with a greater selection to choose from. There's probably some stores that I don't know about.

Homer, there used to be several knife shops around here. All gone out of business but one that has mostly kitchen knives. They all told me they can't compete with the online business anymore. Sad. I used to love going to the knife shops and browsing, or if I needed repair or something. Now it's just a memory.

Nowadays it's Cabela's or Dick's if you want to play with knives. Luckily in PA there are still a few places like Country Knives in Lancaster PA, a little overpriced for premium blades but they do have a huge selection. If you're there stop in, if you want someone who knows knives don't talk to the summer help because they don't know squat and are there for summer jobs. The Old man and his daughters know their stuff and off season they're the ones who work the store. Everything from Schrade(Taylor brand), Rough rider and other Chinese made blades right up to Hinderer, Chris Reeves and nost likely Rockstead. Worth the look if you're in Amish Country in PA.

I don't know if I threw this one up before but it's worth another look.
