The NYK is rough, but I guess okay for what I paid for it. Just a neat old knife.

The Camillus 72 has some nice bone on it. I originally thought it was a frankenknife, but I have since seen other examples with that blade configuration.

The Kent is pretty decent. Black comp jigged covers, neat pattern.

Dealraddy.....Sounds a little pricey to me, but best way to find out is search SOLD LISTINGS on ebay, that is REALITY!

If you are sure on the time frame 40-65 you did OK to very well, that knife looks close to mint which would make it pretty scarce.

So, I was up north today at a couple job sites, and on the way back, I always look for antique stores and thrift stores to check out. The first place I hit was a pawn store kind of place. They had some decent knives, but they wanted top dollar. I did find this Western 442 for $20.



I wasn't feeling that great about my buy, but as I traveled on, I almost passed buy a small dumpy thrift store, but ended up turning around to check it out. They had a glass case with the usual chinese crap and fantasy knives, then I spy a promising looking knife. I pick it up and and can't believe the shape it is in.

A beautiful Schrade Walden 804 whittler, full blades in great shape, and bone covers! And yes, they were only asking $8 for it. I could hardly contain myself as i was pulling out my wallet.

I checked it out more when I got it home. It needs some cleaning up, but it is a stellar piece, I can't believe what a great find I got. They are still out there.

Glenn, you got some nice knives there. That Western and a box seems a good deal for $20 to me.

I agree with Joe. I would have paid $20 for that Western. The handles are Delrin® but the knife appears to be in NOS factory condition (is that glue squeeze out around the shield or Delrin® from a hot insert?). Great find.

And the Schrade? Wow! Does anything more need be said about that one?

Amazing Scott. First post in quite a while that I didn't covet something you got!

Gut me a letter opener today LK Co shell handle.

Flea market finds EKA with yeller handles,case 0045r mint 6 dot,Imperial DE serpentine jack with a westpoint banner etched on it mint,and one I'd never heard of, a crazy horse congress with bone scales nickle silver bolsters and brass liners. Probably from the beautiful Orient but for $5 its a nice toter. Got home the mailperson had left a couple of nice SAKs one blue one red.

I think there's another knife or two somewhere but this is what I could put my hands on first......
