I couldn't be happier with the color, a deep, rich mahogany.
The pistol sits in real snug, making me understand why the shootists would tie down their rig.

$210 for that, is a great price, and will only get better with age and usage. 8)

Now all you need is a pair of buckskin chaps, leather vest, and black hat to complete the outfit:  .

In another thread on User names I posted this photograph. I was asked to talk about the revolver and directed to this thread. Okay, it is a S&W Model 22-4 one of two that I have owned. 4” tapered barrel with the re-enforced ejector lug, fixed sights and a square grip frame. Oh, chambered for the 45 ACP. The lineage is through two grand revolvers from the early 20th Century, the 44 Special Third Model Hand Ejector and the 45 Hand Ejector Model of 1917. This blending resulted in what may have been the finest Police sidearm, if it had been introduced in 1920 instead of 20??!

It is my EDC.

Hey kiddos.
Do any of you boys have experience with OLIGHT, or know guys that have?
I'm lookin for my first laser/light combo, for pistol duty; and there Baldr Mini looks really good.
https://www.olightstore.ca/baldr-mini.html (Canadian link, works out to be the same price).
I've known generally about the company, that they're supposed to have high quality products; just wanted a second sober thought :) .

Thank you! It is a nice revolver and because of the large bore in a the barrel and large holes in the cylinder it is actually fairly light.

re: the grips, on that revolver they are elk. But I do have ivory on my back up Model 22-4.

Many of my revolvers have elk. I prefer no bark elk as it does age nicely.

These have been on the revolver for almost 4 decades so have mellowed to a pleasing color.

Very nice Steve. Great rig for sure. A man after my own heart when it comes to Mernickle holsters, belts and mag/ cartridge holders.
Mernickle is all I own and have quite a few.
Posted this awhile back...

Thanks Steve. Great leather and workmanship.

Holster made for my Dad's old Colt Snake revolvers. Made for my 4" Diamondback but fits my 6" Python as well. With leather speed loader holder...

My new dog walking pistol. I was in the LGS looking at what they didn't have I spied this Ruger LCP II in .22 LR. The owner said he wished he had ammo for it so he could sell it...I told him I'd trade ammo for it!

When I had my FFL I bought cases of CCI Blazer and have a good supply. We did the trade and I shot it today. 100 rounds of Blazer & 100 rounds of CCI standard velocity. I was surprised it'd function with those but it ate them up!

Byrd,

So how many bricks does a Ruger LCP II bring? Just curious. A creative way to get what you want for sure. ::tu::

They're selling .22 for $10 for a box of 50 here! I traded 4 bricks for it. I got it for $20 a brick in 2011. Glad I stocked up. Strange days we're in!

I'm impressed with it. Little & light and easy to carry. Weighs about 12 ounces so it's easy to stick in a pocket. I just shot it at 3 & 7 yards and it's soda can accurate at that range. Just glad I've got lots of ammo for it.

Little .22 autos are fun! I have a Daewoo DP52 I bought back in the nineties. It's a Walther copy and it's extremely well made and accurate. As for .22LR ammo... I always made it a point to try and remember to pick up one of those 550-round bulk-packs of Federal when I was at Walmart. They used to sell them for ten dollars and change. I think I have about twenty or thirty of them, plus a bunch of CCI Standard Velocity (my favorite cheap but accurate target ammo), Winchester and Remington Golden Bullet rounds.
