Happiness is a great knife pic, ecstasy is that same pic with a great story behind it.

Thanks my friend, but I don't know much about it except what you see and the brand. Glad you like seeing it though, you too FFF, and Monte as well, appreciate the comments and all. Wish I knew more than that, but I don't MadH.

I'm seeing what I think is early Rogers bone on a frame Remington used to great effect before closing down and selling a lot of hardware to/spinning off as PAL, depending on how you tell it. Of course, I could be way off. I have exactly one (1) legitimate Remington knife and claim no expertise whatsoever.

What I can say with some authority is that it is a stunning old knife, I-man, a real gem pickup. That knife might be someone's grail.

Ivoryman, that knife is an absolute stunner. Awesome.

Alright I'll throw this one to the forum ... If I wanted a modern equivalent knife (to Ivoryman's) similar pattern/size/blade config
Where or what would I start looking for?? Not something I have to hunt down or wait years for one to bob up.
A modern knife, Case? GEC? or similar that I can go to one of the online retailers and buy now (without having to sell a kidney )

I sold it a year or so back. It's Official I'm a dope!

Cool little pack you have there, I like the cow hide shoulder pad and the antler piece. The knives are great too, both of them have sweet scales. Thanks for the compliment.

You had the Queen swell-end. GEC makes a teardrop-style frame, as well, though if I'm right about that PAL and Queen it's a tad bit shorter, the #85. Unfortunately they are hard to come by, they sell out instantly on first-run and they fetch a lot of money on the secondary market. The #85 frame has many fans that I'm aware of.Was the Queen you sold the carved amber bonestag?

Thanks Guys ... it's an old small Canvas Saddle Bag ... my wife picked it up at an auction with some other Horse Tack in a box.
I just added the leather pieces, cow hide and the antler toggle. It's a handy little 'possibles' bag (for extra ammo, water bottle etc) when I take the dogs and the shotgun for a walk & carrying a full pack isn't necessary.

Hi Tony.... it took some digging but I found the blurb I put up when I posted that knife for sale ....(this would have been copied from the box)

Again, great scales on the Queen there Brumbly. Nice bone stag too, but that honey amber bone or whatever it is really does it for me. By the way, what exactly does "bloody" mean? Ivoryman Actually No (double entendre')

In our day to day conversations, Aussies/Kiwis use 'bloody' as an adverb to describe the very high degree of something.

"Bloody Beautiful" means it is Very Very Beautiful. "Bloody Good" = exceptionally good

"Ripper!!!" translates to a very good one. So "It's a bloody ripper!!!" as I described your knife = It's a very, very VERY Exceptionally good one.

The knife is a little Craftsman 3" pen knife with plastic handles and missing shield... easy to keep sharp and still very useful.
