Just found this knife in an old trunk. It disappeared about 8 years ago. I probably purchased this CS for its oddity, i.e. the double finger rings. Not too sure how practical this is but once properly gripped the knife is as secure as a knife can be.

Whoa, that's a wicked looking double-ringed karambit, Garry.
I guess because it has a clip-point blade it's not technically a karambit, but it's close enough for me.
It's the first I've seen with the 2 rings, and I bet it feels very secure in your hand.
That poor little pup seems to have a worried look in his eyes with that knife in front of him.
I'd say your long-lost knife would make a great whittler!
Best part it's a Cold Steel, great post, buddy!

As always I appreciate your observations, Marco. Not quite sure why you associate it with a Karambit, but hey if your PM has left you any freedom of speech feel free to call it whatever you please. On the right day I might call it a Katana.

Just because of the shape, Garry, if the blade was curved the other way I'd call it a karambit. ::shrug::
I better stop there, ole' Justin might be watching! ::paranoid::

Saw this in an email from Smith and Son’s a few weeks back. The billets were made by the late Chris Marks from “Forged in Fire”. But the pandemic postponed the project. Smiths had these completed recently, I think there were 17 made, not sure of the exact number. The handles are American Elk. This Damascus is beautiful. I don’t buy many fixed blades so it’s got to be something special when I do and I think this is pretty special.

I think that fixed blade is exceptional in its harmony between the handle and the Damascus. It is a beautiful, even elegant, knife.

Beautiful skinner, Mark.
That luscious elk and Damascus were made for each other.
I'm aware of your aversion to buying fixed blades due to the room they require, so this one must be special!
Congratulations!
