All About Pocket Knives

Cambridge mn. Antique Show. Spent $242 total for 11 knives and we were there for about 3 hours. I've always done well at this show. Top to bottom #1. Winchester coke jack (2917), #2 Win. dog leg jack(2874), #3 Rem stockman acorn shield, #4Crown Cut waterfall cel. pen, #5Robeson whittler with pocketeze shield #6 Robeson bed bone stockman, #7 Rem. pen(6463), #8 Catt jack, ebony with piece of scale missing, #9Keen Kutter pen (01884), #10 Utica stockman stag, #11 Rem green swirl (R7485) with nice blade etch.____Dave

I dote on Penknives! ANY of those three would trip my trigger!
The Dogleg ain't none to shabby either!

Nice knife pickin! I couldn't afford to get to or get into a gunshow in Pasadena where I've seen some stuff I wanted badly in the past!

Wow! I feel fortunate to find one or two every once in a while but you came up with a whole covey of good ones! I don't know if I like the Winchesters or the Robesons best .

There's something about that ebony Catt that really speaks to me. If it were mine I'd have to get that thing repaired. It's too nice a knife to remain in that condition.

I agree. At first I planned on trying to splice a piece of ebony in, but second thoughts tell me I would never be satisfied and it's on the front and would always look like a crack. The Catt., the Crown and the Red Robeson all have little issues and were bought individually. The rest were purchased as a package deal and are all full blades and good condition. The Utica has a chip missing that I will patch. I had just about given up on finding anything really good and had the three in my pocket when this deal showed up. He had more but I didn't have any more money to spend. Dave

Thanks guys. Yeah that show has been good to me, and it's usually when I'm about ready to give up when something spectular shows up and never where I expect to find it. Some day I'll dig out all the stuff I've found at that show and take a group picture. These aren't even close to my usual treasures. ___Dave

Wasn't looking for one, but visited an out of the way lumberyard yesterday and found this in their hardware store - Bear & Son yellow Delrin handled Barlow, blades made from carbon steel with half stops in 2010. Has pretty decent action, couldn't leave it there for $22. OH

I really like that soft yellow. I've been picking up a few of them, both old and new and I'm supprised how many makers have used that over the years. They feel so good in the hand too. Nice looking knife. ___Dave

I haven't hit the fleas in a while so my am coffee was at a flea and I came home with a steal on sum OldTimers 12ot,34ot,8ot and one I didn't have 194ot all for undar twenty dollars

If you can find 'em, you're not going to get deals like that around here. Good finds dogg.
