This one should be in the mail shortly. Pulled it off ebay this morning. 1946-1950 CAMMILUS Utility. Seller says that the master blade in sluggish and appears to not close all the way. I really don't see any reason for it, but we shall see. On the plus side, it does have gorgeous Rogers bone handles, which are my favorite.

I hope you got it cheap T.J. Oh, wait a minute. I forgot who I was talking to.
Just saw my #14 is in Oak Creek, WI so should be touching down Rockford tomorrow morning.

It's taking two days to go 135 miles.

Nice one, TJ. Those handles are indeed beautiful.

Psh. That's considered lightning fast in my neck of the woods, Jerry. In the city I live in it can take over a week to receive a letter sent by someone located on the other side of town.

This one should be in the mail shortly also. A.W. Wadsworth/Germany/D.R.G.M. Scout Tool. Cheap old ugly knife with tin handles. Bought it because it is a variation on the "electrician's" knife with double-cut screw driver blade I've not seen before. The price, with shipping, was just as cheap as the knife appears to be
.

tjmurphy wrote:This one is in the mail but out for delivery this morning. Miller Bros. WWI era electrician/radio knife. It's a little worse for wear but was cheap enough to buy to hold a place for a better one. It is a stamp that I don't have. Good handles and nice shield. Anybody got an extra master blade laying around that they don't need??

Thanks to Dimitri (Miller Bro's) for sending me a replacement blade for this knife and Glennbad who did the reblading.

I purposely ask Glenn not to clean the knife up because all the parts match. The Miller Bro's knife is one that I did not have.
Before
After
Thanks again fellerz.

No one is going to get overly excited over this Camillus Dura-Tool but I don't care. It adds to a small collection of this type of knife

That looks pretty doggone handy to me Jerryd. You could do a little whittling between New Castles with that!

Ordered some knives to help cheer myself up after I finally got a discharge date from the hospital (not the funny farm, I swear). These should be along shortly to bring back my good spirits:

Bone handles on the Schrade/Walden 863 ?
The jigging is not peachseed so might help to date this knife within the 1947-72 time span ?
I think Calvin might know about this.
It is a GREAT score.

This is not really on topic, but this knife arrived today, June 19. It was shipped from New York on March 6. I bought it new off Ebay and received a refund (it was only $15) when it did not arrive within a couple of weeks. This morning it appeared in my mailbox with the original March 6 shipping order. Only a little over one hundred days ...
