Very nice, Joe!
I agree, the lock mechanism's on the shell knives are pretty lame. However, they did serve the purpose of securing the blade when using the scaler. Models with the scaler on the blade spine, that didn't have the liner lock, could be a might tricky.
Enjoyin' the pics, thanks for posting them.

Nice knife AND pic, Dave! ::tu::

That is from the Imperial Schrade era... somewhere around the mid - late '80s.
It's from the Imperial "Jack-Master" line (the shell handles). Pattern No. JM - 801.
They were sold in the counter displays and blister packs as well.

These were still on the shelf of my local store in rural Virginia in the early 90's. They were probably still there when it closed.

About 2006 my wife & I were traveling to Montana to visit grandkids.
We stopped at an Ace hardware store in Wallace Idaho and I picked up 4 or 5 Jackmaster fish knives, a couple Kamp King camp knives, one of which was mis-packaged on a Barlow card, and a Jackmaster jack like Dave’s. I paid the retail on the package. If I had more money I would have bought all they had. There were 8 or 10 knives left there when I left.

You just never know when you will find these. ::nod::

Love that Barlow Kamp-King, Dale! Bet ya can't find another one! ::drool::

This looks like a good spot for a "while were at it"...

Does anyone know what a Jackmaster 810 looks like?
It's the only one that's missing from my display. All the others are fairly common.
A lot of them cross over to Schrade frames. All the displays in the Schrade catalogs
don't have a place for this knife!?
The 810 looks like the 125 OT frame... squared bolster and rounded cap???

Any clues anybody?

Thanks, .... Joe

I found this flyer on Larry's site. It shows an 810, that might be what you are looking for.

GREAT! That's it, Glenn! ::handshake::

Looks like it has the tang stamp:

STAG
IRELAND

That's a good thing to know when looking for an Imperial! ::dang::

Wow Joe, that card turned out real nice indeed! You could never tell if you hadn't told us.
I'm still waitin on that Jiffy Jack to arrive and get started tearin it down. You have the rare and unusual scales that nobody's ever seen in those Topsys. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::nod::

Sometimes it's like roulette - you never know when it IS gonna happen.

I've had some success on repairing broken wraps using clear nail polish as an adhesive, Perry.
If ya haven't trashed them yet, let me give it a try. ::tu::
