As of this writing, "Swiss Knife Shop" has created 4 Whimsical Victorinox knives for 2021, titled "Adventure Bear Series." All made in Switzerland.

My first knife in the series is the "Beary Good Catch Fisherman" canoeing toward the Victorinox cross and shield logo on one side, and casting into the lake with hopes of a tasty catch on the other.

The second knife in the series is the "Bear Necessities Camper" featuring a happy bear roasting marshmallows over a campfire. On the back is a tent awaiting him after he finishes his s'mores.

The third knife in the series is the "Bear Trek Hiker" a friendly bear is rambling through the woods on an evening hike. A bird soars through the air above the forest on the opposite side.

The most current knife in the series is "The Bear Claus Spartan" featuring my favorite bear with a bag full of gifts for all the AAPK members. Bear Clause is wearing a festive Santa hat with a bright Christmas tree on the back of the knife.

Cool looking group Dan. I agree with Cody, it never ceases to amaze me at the variance of art that Victorinox has used in their knives.

Yes, the variance is mind boggling. They dissappear quickly and the prices can go crazy.
I collect them for their art presentation rather than their EDC use.

I guess these two don't count & don't really belong in this thread but still maybe cool to look at for other SAK/Victorinox fans. Thinking of putting them on my next Showcase and painting over them with some clear varnish.

Picked up these two stamps for € 3, 70 shipped.

Anbody collect stamps?

I don't but I still couldn't pass these two up.

This arrived very recently in a group of pocket knives that I bought. This particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, four tools (includes the pick & the tweezers), 2 1/4" closed (not including the loop), one tang stamp, pocket knife. It is in pretty good shape. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, four tools (includes the pick & the tweezers), 2 1/4" closed (not including the loop), one tang stamp, pocket knife. Except for the color, it is identical to the VICTORINOX that is in my previous post. It is in pretty good shape. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

As I said in my original post, I don't even collect stamps but as a knife nut,

I couldn't pass these two up. So, if any knife collectors were also big time stamp collectors, I could part with them if somebody wanted them badly enough. Cost = 1- PM. Just saying. And if not, I'll just give them a spot on my next showcase. I believe they would look pretty cool on there if my idea with the coat of clear varnish over them works.

The inside of a showcase with U.S. stamps randomly pasted on the inside of the walls. I saw a few "lots" of them on the bay.

What do you guys think? Good idea? Or not?

I knew there was a better place for them but I couldn't remember that word emphemera.

I'm getting older & dumber by the min.

Edit: I just noticed that they are both laying on pockets. That's a pretty cool detail I missed at first.

Whatever you do buddy, don't laminate them!

If you do mate, you completely destroy any value they hold to stamp/knife collectors... What you do instead, is look up "acrylic stamp cases", that's what collectors use to protect examples.
How do I know this? 'Uge stamp collector when I was a upcoming squirt...

Not knocking the idea mate, does sound pretty cool in my book!
But, you just have to weigh the cost of devaluing them completely, and turning off prospective Vic nerds.

If you do want to build a display, then go whole hog!
Buy a pile of cheap examples, than laminate the entire collection to a nice wood "shadow-box".

That way it's worth more then a few stamps, you intentionally sacrificed a stack for something better. But it has to be an intentional decision, because not for the sake stamp itself, but for the sake of it being memorabilia...

Just my two bits mate, knife junkie here too.

This is a Wenger soldier , same as victorinox old soldier , with a bail and no year stamp these was the civilian version , I had one a few years ago

There are many legends surrounding the original design of the Claddagh design and most point toward Galway fisherman Richard Joyce. In the late 17th century, Joyce was captured by pirates and sold into slavery. While in servitude, he forged a ring of gold for his true love back in Galway featuring three symbols: a heart of love, a crown of loyalty and hands of friendship. After his release back to his village of Claddagh, he married the woman who had waited years for him to return.

Another beautiful little piece of art from Victorinox.
Swiss Knife Shop has just listed the 2022 "Claddagh Classic SD Exclusive Swiss Army Knife."

The pictures were not taken by me, however, I should receive my "Claddagh" later this week.
