Keith, the R1465 is elegant and unusual and I would imagine pretty scarce to come by. ::tu:: ::tu::

Keith, those two don't look like they've done much work.
Very nice knives. ::tu::

Thanks guys. I got the R1465 from Wayne. The guy he got it from sold stuff to hardware stores in Texas and would always ask if they had any old stock knives in the back. That's where this one came from.

That’s how I got started too Keith. My late friend and mentor and I would visit all the old hardware stores in the winter, him looking for trading stock.

I became a collector, he was a trader, amongst other things.

Nice additions.

Picked up a Schrade Walden pruner, pretty common knife but what makes this one unusual is it has a Bartlett MFG Co blade etch, I have a Schrade Walden farmers jack with the same etch,Bartlett is an arborist supply company that is still in business.

I have a few more to add to this thread that needed some attention :wink: - and still need to get photos of others :D ...

Russell Green River Works - Hard snapping, no wobble and pretty full blade... I believe with rosewood handles too...

Platts N’Field – Pretty uncommon stamp to find. Ray Platts of the famous Platts cutlery family returned to Northfield in the 1st Qtr of the 1900s and used Northfield knife parts to cobble knives – I think he was the first professional cobbler ;-0 – Just kidding!!! At least he stamped the knives Platts N’Field… This hawkbill is interesting in that the bolster has a taper to it in my eyes…

That Saynor looks near identical to a knife I have but it isn't a Saynor. I really need to post some photos soon.

That 'A' knife is truly unique. Never seen anything quite like that.

Would like to see your photos Woodly.
The A knife looks home made.
I guess it is safe to call it "Custom Made" it seems to have gotten the job done. ::nod::
