......glenn, I've got a couple of old Camillus sleeveboard whittlers(4 line stamped on all blades) that are made like that!! also got an old cattleman's or stock knife from that era that has 3 backsprings...only Camillus I've got with 3 backsprings!!!...................... ......................

Swap meet day. I'll post today's finds first, then a photo of last week's finds from the same swap, (small local swap). Today's finds are farm fresh, not cleaned at all, the photo is taken "as found".
First off is a Camillus TL-29 electricians knife, (TL-29 worn off the handle as per usual with most of these), it appears to be a bakelite handle. Then a Schrade USA Stockman with bone handle and SS blades, (very dirty, should clean up nicely), the sheepsfoot blade has a nick in it, but in good shape otherwise, (not a bad nick, I think I can maybe sharpen it out, but probably won't bother). Lastly an Imperial Ireland jack knife, also with pristine handles, (synth MOP I'm sure), and carbon blades in reasonable condition, (also in need of a cleaning/oiling). I picked up a couple of other items today, but the knives were had for a total of $20. Not my best day at the swap, but that works out to $6 plus change per knife...I'll take it, (and I did!).
The second photo is last week's haul, also had for a total of $20, (did a little better last week). An Imperial USA two blade Barlow, another little Imperial USA jack with an interesting celluloid handle, (great condition on that one), two US-made advertising all-metal knives, probably from the 80's, and a single blade Imperial USA "gentleman's" knife, also all-metal.
So that's eight total knives over a two week period for $40, comes out to an average $5 per knife. Not epic, but acceptable.

More yard sale finds yesterday.

Edge Brand Rancher's Special - It was a bit wobbly so peened the pivot pin and cleaned it up. Not a bad user after I fixed it.

Bonsa lobster - cracked handle on the opposite side but not bad for $2

? - Mexico? switch blade. Cool handles.

Picked up the Lansky sharpener at an Estate sale $4. It was half price. Of course had to put an edge on the Edge brand hunter with the Lansky.

That big hunter looks to be a pip!

The TL-29 is a Pal Blade Co with wood scales, but no snap in the main blade

My scores for today and yesterday:
A pair of Phillipine tourist swords made entirely from water buffalo horn; a grapefruit knife by Fredrick Herder & Sons with an unusual rivet head(a trademark spade);and the most unusual of all:
what appears at first to be a home made knife with cast aluminum handle and a saw back may actually be a Murphy knife. There are markings under the handle that are all but obliterated but look to be remnants of a stamping.
The swords were $20 for the pair;the grapefruit knife was 50 cents and the aluminum handled knife was $2.

Nice haul guys One of my loves are my childhood knives that I sub-collect,I found an Imperial tool set NIB with a local advertisement and a 1940s or 50s phone #,a mint Imperial fixed blade both have original plastic sheaths,Imperial SS jack,a Ka-Bar whatever it is,then a Victoria Elsener Schwyz soldier 1973.twas a good day at Maine's largest garage sale

Hope someone comes along that knows what the Kamar thingy is, cause it's really got me curious.........

Way to go garddogg, now that's pickin'! I've found a couple of those little SS Imperials, but nothing like your haul. not to mention the pristine fixed blade, and that Imperial tool kit......which is an epic find. I wouldn't call that simply a good day at Maine's largest garage sale, I'd call that a great day at Maine's largest garage sale.

It is a fish scaler;made by many companies.I have two of them:one by PAL and the other unknown.There is a mark pn the handle that says Fish Scaler. Yours is missing the sheath.

Garddogg, That knife of yours reminded me of one I picked up some where along the way.
Designed for some industry of some sort.

Interesting, I'd like to see how it was used.

They use them to cut the paper straight off the wrapper reels,roughty 16-20 feet wide from underneath.

My neighbor just gave me this Spyderco Meerket to sell.....pretty slick little gizmo with the
