Goins has J Nowill & Sons from 1848 to present, I also read that the name was purchased for use by another maker in the 1940s, when the last of the Nowill family got out of the business. I am really not sure exactly where this knife would fall on that timeline.

Added to the sheepsfoot jack collection this week with this stunning George Wostenholm stag curved jack. Large 4" knife with some of the best matched stag I've seen.

Here is a few of my England Made 2 I-XL Splitback Whittlers and a I-XL Stovckman, and a early 19th Century Quill by Yelling House Co. not to be found in Goins Encyclopedia I was told more likely English Made hint the name Yelling possibly made in Yelling, England

Dimitri I don’t know what to say! My wife pretends to take interest when I bring a new knife home. I showed her the photos of some of yours especially the last photo. She tells me I’m failing miserably with my collection

I've posted a few of these elsewhere but believe they fit in this post as well.
First group of large 6" and over folders. 3 IXL and botton is a J. Roggers.
Second group top is a diminutive 2" closed Slack & Grinold curved jack. H.&J.W. King hawkbill, IXL stag whittler, Ibberson folding rule and G. Butler sportsman's knife.
