I really like this possibility, O', but I see no room for Little Valley, NY
or Cutlery Co. or Bradford Pa., but they may have used a smaller stamp to accommodate the small tang.
That wouldn't be unheard of.
I think I'll be carrying it soon.

Very nice condition, too.
The knife in the bottom photo is interesting. Don't recall ever seeing one like that before. Is it a specialty knife of some sort? Curious about the cap bolster situation...what's that all about?

Thanks fellers. The bottom picture is of a 7-inch closed skinning knife with a gut hook at the end. Patent 1,065,863 6/24/1913 Carter, Issac T., of Emmitsburg, IA - Skinning Knife (Gut Hook in Notched Handle with Hooked Blade), (made by Miller Brothers "Carter Skinning Knife") I think Miller Bros. only made this pattern for a few years. The etch is there but faint. The gut hook is sharp and it closes.
MB told me most of the above years ago when I first bought it.

I saw 2 of these at the Shenandoah Valley show, I think one belonged to Gene. Very impressive size, I
think Gene said these were made for a Chicago butcher.
