Those are getting hard to purchase in any condition. Nice catch. Believe there are 4 different versions of this model.
The First Special Service Force was Americans and Canadians which became the Devils Brigade . Which became the Green Berets. Then the 10 th Mountain brigade came about .

These are all great knives! I have some of each. My current favorite is the 10th Mountain Division utility knife. I have only one, and it is a cherished item. I was just near Camp Hale in Colorado, beautiful but harsh!

I do believe it is WW2. It has the USN on the blade that looks the same as I have, and the pommel is pinned! It is in amazing condition tho… do you have provenance?

I'll have to look and see what I did with the paperwork I got with it, I bought with a few other items from a collector.

It a toss up between 2 knifes .knife one New York knife co hammer brand (top). Although not a WW 2 knife may have been used or made for WW 1 .Knife two Pal cutlery co ( bottom) WW 2 steel liners , steel pins , steel bolsters as required by U.S.A. Contract specifications.

My new favorite. This was a gift from a great man and a guy I consider a brother. This will be the highlight of my collection forever. This is actually a bad picture, it actually looks much nicer and the etch is more visible than this picture shows.

That’s some really nice looking bone ! I have a few knifes that have been gifted. Or I got in trades from friends .PRICE LESS !

My new favorite! I just picked this up in a pawn shop today, a Finnish bayonet by Hackman Co.. It has a partially obscured "-KE-" inspector's mark on the guard.
