My heart is breaking for you and Alyson, Dale. I cannot think how I would handle this. Your relationship with your wife AND the Lord will get you through this, regardless of the outcome. I will continue to pray for the Lord's intervention.

A blessed Christmas to everyone, and thank you so much for your prayers. Alyson has had her restart of chemo a week ago Thursday
That is the toughest day because she has 2 meds in the chemo that day. She had the second phase this last Thursday which seemed to go much better as she only had one chemo med in that treatment. This week is a rest week with no chemo!

We had a nice quiet Christmas today with just the two of us at home. It was a day of rest. We had several family members over Christmas Eve and some couldn't come because they were sick and also because of the ice storm.

Alyson seems to be tolerating these chemo meds much better than she did the first time.
We appreciate your continued prayers and pray you have a blessed New Year!
God is in control!

A day of rest is always a good thing, especially needed around the holidays with so much going on. I'm glad you were able to spend it together, and happy to hear Alyson is tolerating the meds a little better this time. I will continue to pray for both of you.

UPDATE
We went to the oncologist last week before Alyson's chemo which was scheduled for Thursday last week. The doctor said her red blood cell and white blood cell count were too low to do chemo and that he was giving her two more weeks of rest. If she had had a passing out episode and the doctor was concerned about a stroke so he ordered an MRI to rule out a stroke and cancer in the brain. Praise the Lord, the MRI was negative for both!

The doctor said the chemo seems to affect her much more than most people with the same dosage. He is going to readjust the dosage before the next round of chemo and wants a CT scan of her liver to see if the chemo has had any effect.
Thank you for your prayers, and please keep praying for her healing.

Thanks for the update and glad to hear about the MRI. Chemo is tough, my mom went down some hard roads with it. Continued prayers going out.
