Those look awesome, MaryJayn.

Using the same sort of handle material as the knife I posted previously, made around the same time period, but very different in style...

This knife, of course, has already been sold, but I recently filled out the form about a week ago requesting to sell Dad's knives (maybe other stuff) through AAPK. I hope I get to! Don't worry, I'll still be posting pics of his fixed blades -- and pocket knives when they have found new homes.

Awesome! Yes! The Biglers in southern Illinois are all linked to Biglers who originally settled in Cobden. They have all dispersed a bit, but there are still a lot of us here in the southernmost tip of the state.

Hahah!I do live in Anna... just not at 1000 North Main. Dad's folks lived in Cobden and moved to Anna when Dad was 11. They lived right next door to another iconic place in town, Stinson Library. Here's a picture of Dad with his dad, Arthur Bigler, on the front porch of that house. The boxer, Dempsey (named, of course, after Jack), is his dad's dog.
