Well, there is certainly Ebony on the left but I'm in the dark about the other two.
Perhaps a Rosewood in the middle covers but the covers on the right completely escape me.
If I had to guess I would say Olivewood with no confidence.

I have 3 electricians' knives. Camillus, Ulster were my dad's. The Klein & Son is mine.

Never thought of the electricians knife as being "pretty", but there sure are some pretty ones on display here.

Have never seen a presto lite key on an electrician knife .

This knife was some what of a disappointment when it came in the mail. It's an Edgemark brand, NOS with the box. I thought it to be from Japan. The lock on the back is unique and I'm into the Japanese knives so I scooped it up with out properly reading the listing. You see, it was one of those garbage AI written things about how it's great for collectors because you can use it in both hands or whatever, so I stopped reading after a few words. It did however properly state at the end, I later learned, that the knife is in fact from Pakistan. Sad face.

It is, however, a decent knife. It's solid as can be, the bolsters, pins and springs look to be the same steel the blade is made of. The lock back mechanism I do find to be more functional and comfortable to use than the standard liner lock. I also appreciate that Pakistan is stamped on the tang, and not one of those insta-fade etches on the pile side near the spine. I'll add this to my user pile as I certainly won't be afraid to get it dirty.

A slightly different pattern or style of electrician knife.....

During my 40 year career with Ma Bell, besides my EDC pocket knife, I carried this exact pattern or style of knife, along with snips (special scissors), in a two slotted leather holder. I lost or broke a few of these knives over the years. Made in the U.S.A. by JAMESON, this pattern or style of knife was used to open telephone cable to get access to the pairs of wires inside the cable. Then, by placing an individual wire between the blade of the knife and the thumb, and then VERY GENTLY pulling the individual wire with the other hand, the insulation would be easily removed WITHOUT removing or damaging ANY of the copper wire. I never tried to use this pattern or style of knife for any other function(s) other than opening cable and wire stripping. This particular knife is unused and in MINT condition. It measures 6 1/4" total length. The handle is made of a hard rubber or rubber-like substance. I took some pictures and here it is.

I have used Klein's version of the cable splicer's knife during my 40 year electrical career. It works quite well for removing the outer sheath of Romex cable.

I just picked up this electrician's knife. Never have seen this brand before Holub out of Sycamore Illinois. Knife looks well made. Has anyone seen this brand??

Hello all. Here are a couple of electricians knives that were modified by owners previous to me. The screwdriver blades being made into cutting blades. A Kutmaster, on the left, that I've had for a while and a long-line Camillus that I pulled out of EBAY this past week. They're not pretty, but I think they're interesting. One more and I guess I'll have a collection.

I had one of those blue rubber coated cable splicer's knives a while back. The only mark it had was "R4" stamped on the tang, I thought it might be a Remington but it was only a guess. ???? Any info appreciated. J.O'.
