Of course!!! This is an early Fight'n Rooster, tang stamp is prior to '82. The first knives were produced in 1976, this is the 2nd stamp used, sometime after '76 up until '82. I bought this knife around 40 years ago, and have nearly traded/sold it a few times over the years, but I just can't turn loose of those yellow handles.

Thank you so much Ike. I've been really liking gunstock frames lately and as soon as I spotted yours I just had to see more. I like my knives with just 1 blade, spear-point if I have the choice, but even with the 2 blades that are on your knife it looks great. If you've owned that knife for over 40 years and have been able to resist parting with it for that long I'm sure this one will be with you forever. The knife appears to be in near perfect condition, so kudos to you for showing your valuables the care they deserve! !

Just picked this one up last weekend. A whole $5. Marked Syracuse Knife Company.

I love those celluloids you guys have been posting, and for those who are still afraid of them, I have somewhere between one and two hundred old celluloids and store them in knife rolls in several safes and check on them fairly often. I don't put recent Winchester's in with the old ones because they are more prone to deteriorate, but the rest are getting close to 100 years old and are doing great. Over the years I've pulled a couple out that were starting to discolor on the bolsters and shields and leave then open and displayed on shelves, and yesterday, after a number of years, I noticed two, an old pale yellow Western States and an Aerial picture knife were ready for new scales, and I peeled off the old and cleaned up the liners and wiped the tarnish off the blades and springs. I have one more Winchester I'm watching that I'm hoping will outlast me but I'm not taking any chances. I've only had one celluloid piece that went quickly, and it was an antique button hook and not a knife. I still love collecting celluloids.____Dave
