You get upset because you can't find an old knife you remember having and then are finally relieved when you discover you actually have two of them.

You buy one for a gift and when it arrives you like it so much you buy one more for yourself even if you have the same knife but you like the scale material of the one you just bought.

You get a new knife and spend time polishing it, holding it, admiring it, etc. That night you’re watching TV with the wife, but during commercials you keep going back to your knife collection to look at that new knife again and again!

You have a headache and instead of reaching for an aspirin, you hold your favorite knife against your head.

You spend your precious time posting jokes about your love for knives on a knife forum!
