Still experimenting around. 
In Germany they would say to this next one, ( "Nicht schön, aber selten!" ) which means...,
"Not pretty, but rare!". And that's what this one is. LOL!

Tried out a new one this morning. Since I got this Scout knife from Ryan in PA, 
I made a lanyard for it in the appropriate colors. I call this one "The Gettysburg!"

You fellas are definitely putting out some great work.
These two are about as basic as they come.
The one on the knife IS braintanned deer. There is a lot of work in that little piece.

Lots of great seamanship knots being shown here.
Back in my day (early 70's), I was originally what they called a "deck ape" in the Navy. We would make Monkey Fist knots for heaving lines, which were thrown from approximately 15-20 yards out (sometimes farther) to another sailor on the dock. The heaving lines were attached to the main securing lines to tie the ship up. Once the sailor on the dock caught the heaving line, several more sailors would join in and pull the securing line from the ship to the bollards or cleats. These Monkey Fist knots were heavy and solid, so a good arm could get some really good distance. Many times, we would 'miss' the distance and have to reel the heaving line back in and give it another go.
