I’m so pleased to read that you are taking up the Schatt & Morgan mantle! I discovered Queen and S&M brands this year, and I’ve begun collecting the latter. I particularly love the blend of old patterns with stainless blades, and I’m hopeful that you’ll continue this trend. Also, worm groove bone is gorgeous.
To echo a previous poster: quality beats quantity in the game of traditionals.

We have a alot of things to do over the next several months. Moving the Equipment is quite an undertaking. So much to do and so little time to do it. LOL I don't remember seeing the jigging machine. But then again several things were not in Auction. I have never seen a working one sell. But sure would like too. If you find out who has it let me Know. I would be interested in it.
Vit collects American made Winchesters, Many were made While Bill Howard was at the Helm. Great Knives. While Bluegrass does do some importing of Knives I have nothing to do with That. My Focus is on Schatt & Morgan. Thanks, Gil

Pardon my ignorance, but does Blue Grass still crank out Case Classics? I don't see much about them, maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places.

Queen knife factory Made The Case Classics. But Dave Scott, of Blue Grass, Distributed them for James Parker. I have some Case Classics on Ebay now. Gilbert can you shed any light on the new Queen - Pilot Test Run knife being offered at SMKW today? Is that part of your Bluegrass knife factory, or were they made elsewhere?

I heard a few months back that SMKW had purchased the Queen name and planned to have knives made overseas.The ad I saw said it was made made the USA,but it looked very cheaply made.Also that Gil Cooper still owned the Schatt & Morgan name.

Does anyone know if this is related to “Scott Cutlery Co.” in Manchester? It comes up when you search, but I can’t find anything about a “Scott” company. I do enjoy a good mystery.

According to the post Dave Scott was principal operator of Blue Grass Cutlery and replaced by his son Tim Scott. My guess is Scott Cutlery is related as both are located there.
