Great thread, and some super sets being shown. I am a sucker for these sets. Here are a few I like. Including a Western Field (Montgomery Ward brand made by Western), another Western, and a three piece Imperial that includes a Fixed Blade Knife, Axe, and Scout knife.

And a couple of Case versions. The Walnut handled version is one of their earliest offerings, with the short locking lever. And the Stag is maybe my favorite of favorites.

Great show hard man. Good to see that Imperial set in there. Not as pricey as some of the others shown here but every bit as nice.

Here are some older Official Scout chow kits. Printed prices on the boxes range from $1.25 to $1.95. Imperial and George Schrade.

Some nice additions to an old thread by Miller Bros., hardman, and btrwtr.
Thanks for bringing it back M.B.
Here is an old Western Black Beauty set, kind of striking in that black and silver color combination.

Mason that Black Beauty is a beauty.

Quick steel I’ve never seen that set before. Very cool. What is the history of it?

btrwtr, I don't really have any history on it. I bought it mostly as a curiosity, especially the sheath. The steel is 8CR14MOR. On the blades are the words Long Rifle. Initially I was doubtful the knives would be practical for serious skinning of a deer or other large mammal. But I gradually changed my opinion. It is full tang; the blades are quite sharp and I think they would resharpen easily. It would take a hunter to establish the true practicality of the knives. But that sheath would make you the coolest guy in the woods. :)

Looks like that German set would take care of most anything. Pretty big blade on that large knife.

Here are a couple of Case Knif-Ax sets I have. Not sure how practical they are since I’ve never put one to a task.

And a fairly rare Case’s Sportsman set. The interchangeable blades are stamped W.R. CASE & SONS over BRADFORD PA. Handle/blade lockup mechanism is via a lever similar to the Case switchblades. Wish it was mine but it belongs to a Case Collector’s Club Forum member. Just thought y’all would enjoy seeing one.

My First Ever Combo Set over 40 years old, still solid, still sharp, Sheffield Made .............probably still be around in a hundred years.

New sheath I have to add, but bought from the "Famous Sheffield Shop" who still make all this gear.
