This old Horn handle folding hunter is a real handful, strong snap with half stops too, Dunham Carrigan & Hayden San Francisco harware wholesale brand. (1895-1920).

That's two great knives,beetle larvae damage who'd a thunk it, does that happen a lot with horn?

Bighomer - yes it does happen and not only to horn but to tortoise shell as well (I have an old Sheffield cow horn handled knife that is pre-1860 with a few small "old" bore holes which are not active now)... unfortunately it happens... fortunately for me not active now.... and I thought only my fly tying feathers and materials were at risk ... though there are ways to keep those bugs away and materials protected (sorry for the slight digression...)...

That is one nice Miller Bros Hunter Cato ... Classic jigged bone handles, classic MB screws, bail still in place and 2 blades ..... I saw one a few months back just like yours though it had wood handles and was stamped Miller Bros Cut Co Meriden - sadly the blades were so short from being sharpened down and wobbling like a broken wagon wheel that I just said "no way" - certainly not worth the $50 or more wanted as it truly was a piece of junk... Now I see what it was supposed to look like in nice condition ... Thanks for posting it!!

Some great knives shown so far. Here is a model with "Hunter" in its name, a pre 1964 Puma White Hunter.

I always enjoy looking in on this post. Some fantastic knives shown here. Mason that Hunter looks like it was just taken out of the showroom case. Cato the Miller Bros. is awesome.

Here are a few I have recently picked up.

First pic,
Case Tested Green Bone high pull 6265 SAB with no shield, iron bolsters and liners.
Phoenix Knife Co. with double pulls. A previous owner has installed a steel pin where a lanyard ring was in the tail end bolster.
Cattaraugus King of the Woods liner lock

Second pic,
Northfield Knife Co. lockback
F.A. Koch Co. with unusual lock at tail end of frame
4 line Camillus with match striker pull

Third pic,
American Shear and Knife Co lockback
Ulster Dwight Devine and Sons English jack
Schrade Cut lockback with fancy threaded bolsters

The remaining pictures are of a Marbles Woodcraft first model knife variation that I have never seen before. I have owned dozens of old Woodcrafts including a number of the "PAT. PEND." knives. This is the first PAT. PEND. model I have ever seen that did not have the XXXXX type cross hatching on the back of the blade. This knife has the later parallel llllllll type cross hatching that is seen on the later made knives. I think it must be a transition knife. The knife has a 1/2" barrel nut and round pommel that is typical of early Woodcraft models. Maybe others have seen this but it is a new variation to me.
