Thanks for posting that link. I had read that before but needed a refresher course. I took my Barlow and showed it to Pete Cohan. He gave me a lot of information and verified the approximate age of mine, late 1700's.
The next show he brought in some of his old barlows, really great knives. I wish I had that kind of knowledge.

I have found over the years that if you can get Pete Cohan talking, you'll learn more than you ever needed to know about whatever knife topic he might be expounding upon, and I mean that in the nicest way. I spend a lot of time at Pete's table.

There are Fillmore knives to be had. A couple of collectors over at BladeForums have one. I found mine by searching Ebay DAILY for "Fillmore Knife".

There is an even more rare Robeson stamp, "Genessee" (I think that's spelled correctly). That is the name of the river that goes through the Rochester/Perry, New York area. I have only ever seen one and it was a photo of a knife belonging to a mid-west collector that I met on-line years ago. We have long since lost contact and I cannot recall his name.

Robeson reputedly used "M. F. ROBESON" at one time. I have never seen that on a knife of any kind, but have seen and have it on a couple of old imported razors.

Those two Korn knives are almost unbelieveable.

I am posting an old one here that dates to the late 1700's. A Barlow knife with the BAR LOW stamp.

Sure looks very similar to your knife.

This is not my knife. I saw it this week on the internet and captured a screen shot of the tang stamps.
I realize the stamp I'm referring to is on the secondary blade, not the master.
But, I have never seen that stamp before to my recollection.
Based on the stamp on the master, the knife is circa 1915.

This one is an old Pennsylvania Co. "Tidioute Cutlery Co.". A swayback jack I picked up from Pete Cohan a while back. Got the whole story along with the knife!!!

This Mother of Pearl knife I am posting is an old KANE CUTLERY CO bartenders knife made in Kane, Pa. 1903-06.
