All About Pocket Knives

I agree wholeheartedly with David! Personally I think the original covers look gaudy, whereas the new ones seem to suit that knife, but regardless of that you've gained valuable experience and made mistakes you won't ever make again! Pretty darn cool if ya ask me!

I have a few Frost Knives from the '80's, I will post some pics soon, they are mostly in original boxes, and none of them is ever used or carried for any reason, will sell them eventually. P M me if you're interested, what type, etc. I do have one Parker-Frost in my LDF Knives store Take a look! Opps I do have one Duce Frost in the store forgot about that one, a nice looker!

Just picked up this Frost Half Whittler. Inexpensive knife to dissemble and work on.

I also purchased this Frost Texas Jack. I am on the fence about taking it apart. David gave me a good suggestion to pick up some junk knives from pawn shops. I think I will go that route for now and save the Frost knives for users.

That's another very good looking knife Nev! I like your plan to scour the pawn shops for beaters, the last 2 Frost folders you posted are far too nice to disassemble!

Yesterday morning, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. This pocket knife arrived in a very small group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. This pocket knife now becomes my first example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did get added to my general, "foreign born" pocket knife accumulation. It is a FROST CUTLERY, one partially serrated blade, one tang stamp, one tang etch, 3" closed, a lanyard hole, lockback, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp has the bird logo and says, "FROST CUTLERY" The main blade back tang etch says, "CHINA" The main handle side has a tiny crack. The main blade (SHARP!!) does have a SOFT half stop. The main blade does have an OK opening snap. The main blade does have an OK closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

A large lockback Frost Steel Warrior with much better quality than I would’ve imagined after watching the late night TV shows.

After buying the smaller (3.75” closed) version of the above knife under the Parker name and made in Japan I found this black horn model. It has the Steel Warrior name. It’s made in China. The fit and finish and the walk and talk is as good as anything I’ve come across excepting some very high end customs. No gaps, blade is dead center and sharp. Lockup is solid with a proper release. As I mentioned above it has horn covers and is available in several others, all for around $20.
