Great looking pair Paul!! Indeed they were a nice surprise today. Serial #10s checking in. The all steel construction looks great especially on the ebony. The etching isn't like the normal etching, these you can feel like they've been stamped in the blade. I know GEC's done that with some NF's before but these are the first I have with that done. I also like that the serial number is on the pile side of the knife instead of the mark side.

Got my 14's Mike..... thank you!!! Trand pretty much covered it. Couldn't be happier bro. just beautiful from packaging to knife,outstanding!!! Anyone on the fence on these,ya need to get a couple. Mike was a breeze to deal with and his shipping package,dude ITS LIKE A VAULT. Congrats on your initial release, I'm proud to have 'em............... whats next brother,I'm in.

My Champlins arrived yesterday morning, I've been busy admiring them. There is a lot to admire!

My matching pair arrived yesterday too..............s/n 9's and I have to reiterate all the previous comments..beautiful indeed.................and how about a hint for the next one........

Ok, here is a hint it will be an old pattern that GEC does not have in there list yet, but that is not the only thing special about the next one, the handles are going to besomething really special. Sorry I can't say more at this point because I am not sure we can offer what we would like to offer till we work out some details with GEC.

BTW I have about 12 knives left and only 3 pairs out of those ten.

WOW you all are taking some great shots of the knives!!!!

I wanted to update all of the members who are interested in the knives we are having made for us by GEC. Derek, Bill and I have been talking about this since our first knife was in the process of being made and have decided that we are going to do a Eureka Jack. We wanted to, again do an older pattern and if you look at the picture that I have included you will see 3 Eureka's. From the left, a custom knife made for me by Ken Erickson an OVB marked knife that was made by New York Knife Co and a Carrier Cutlery salesman's knife. The knife that GEC will be making will have some items from each of these. I have always loved this pattern and since it is an old one thought that it would fit in nicely with what we are doing.

Derek will be updating our website as you knives are being made and you can go to the GEC site to see the knives also. We are hoping to have the knives done by the end of Feb or the begining of March.

We will be doing something special with these also like the wiping cloths being added to the first knife so keep checking the 2 sites for more info.
