Thank you miller bros. I wouldnt have that Morley if not for another great aapk member who saw a post ankept me in mind. Thats what makes this such a great place and im proud to be a part of the great things going on here.

I do have a question. On the top of the wrench is stamped "J" what's that mean?

Interesting and not sure this helps but I’ve seen initials on old Billings & Spencer wrenches - I believe if I remember correctly the initials were used for matching parts for assembly based on fit to threads etc ... just thought I’d throw this out there as a possibility

My 1-W is stamped "PATENT APPLIED FOR" but there's nothing on the 3-W.

Here is one I came across while re-photographing some knives:Marked simply:"Copyright 300 Line Japan" the jaws are highlighted by the graphic of a monkey's head.The screwdriver/cap lifter blade also has a file on the pile side and there is a Phillips screwdriver in the back.

If LongBlade is correct re' the "J" being a matching parts system, then there should be a corresponding "J" on the other jaw of the knife.

Ray's monkey wrench is interesting. First time I've seen that. I have seen those knives, though, in gift boxes and highly polished or nickel plated. I suspect those were marketed to the more genteel members of the masculine sex.

Just got my 3rd O. Barnett Tool Co. horseman's pliers knife back from repair, you should be able to tell which one has been fixed. Thinking about EDCing one but not sure which one. I love this design.

Schrade Cut Co - not a production piece. Most likely an odd creature that escaped from the sample room.

That's pretty cool and unique. Know anything about when it might have been made, or how long have you had it?

I tried to figure out when it was made but didn't make it further than the tang stamp window which is roughly 1917 thru 1946. I thought maybe the style of spanner would be a clue but Cattaraugus started using them shortly after WWI. I think this was an attempt to copy the Camillus/Klein pattern but I never did find out when those knives were made. I've owned it for a year or two now and the seller was a dealer who knew nothing about the piece. Not much help here - sorry.
