Here is a pretty cool old Otter knife. Needs a little work but well worth saving imo.

Here's a couple of mine. The Kent fixed blade belonged to my dad.
The Hammer Brand fish knife premiered in '55... the last year of the brand name
and the first time since they stopped putting a blade etch on the Hammer Brands
in the '30s!

I'll have to hunt for some more.

That's a NICE one!!!

Two Schrade Waldens both etched with a Detroit Business (Bartlett Mfg. Co.) name, the first is an imitation Ivory Florist Knife with a Hawkbill, and the Electricians knife is interesting with the large shield. Note both blades are etched on the Electrician.

Here's one I dug out. Olsen Knife Co. Solingen Germany. Seems the Olsen's were made in many different places. Can't really speak to the quality of the knife but it seems to be put together OK with bone handles (no hafting), carbon steel blades and brass liners. Don't really know where it ever came from.

Heres a couple old button knives with etches. Both are over 100 years old. The Shapleigh has the two early patent dates making it made between 1907-1910. I believe they never made any the large ones with the Norvell- Shapleigh stamp. Firth Steel was a brand of steel that was used in the Press Buttons during part of there production.. I have seen this etch on a few different models of Press Buttons.

Nice knives! That Pressbutton is in amazing condition!

Very nice. Firth's steel was the first stainless steel which was invented in Sheffield.

dragon25, that Shaipleigh and the Press Button are very handsome, what fantastic knives! Also, Brett888, that Rem is so pretty, I wish I could carry it around just to take it out and look at it.
Here is Meriden Cutlery Co. mother of pearl pen knife. It has Meriden Cutlery Co. within an anvil, stamped on the master blade. The tang stamps reads M.C Co. U.S.A, and the master has the numbers 72531 on the pile side. The liners and the bail seem to be silver, although I am uncertain about the liners as I would think silver would be too soft to use for this purpose, maybe plated steel.

The bail, pins and liners should all be Nickle silver

A pre-'41 Ulster Crown & Arrow etch.
A Schrade double switch w/G.B. Mentz Co. stamp and a well worn H&B stamp.

That Ulster etch is awesome!

Thanks Dimitri! I've been trying to track down what years Ulster used that particular etch. I've got it in my head that it may have been fairly early, when there was still a big influence from the first Sheffield cuttlers working there. (crown, arrow? ) I havn't been able to find any info to back it up though.
