All About Pocket Knives

went to my deer lease today and chose my knives accordingly.

Johnnie, between the pistol and the canoe you once again sent me running for the slobber towel. The Buck is very nice as well.

Well I on the other hand was back in the office today, and tend to go a little dressy for work. This is a frequent office carry, a Shapliegh's cattle knife with buff horn handles. It's true I don't encounter many cattle in the office, but the sheepfoot blade sharpens pencils with the best of them, and the leather punch is an excellent staple remover.

This is my current favorite, it seems to find its way into my pocket more often then not.

As a matter of fact, I have a 34OT in my pocket right now, which I got from our own El Lobo. I love Schrades.

Since some others have posted two knives for today, I think I'll follow suit. When I got home, this was in the mailbox waiting for me -- a Queen Mtn Man Lockback with Crimson Bone handles and 1095 high carbon blade. This one goes in the pocket, not the drawer, hence the lanyard. Plus this knife just cries out for a lanyard in my opinion.

this is a good thread. i have dragged out more knives in a week than normal. carring a different one every day. make em all special. plus gettin to see your knives is like icing on the cake. they all are my favorites and look forward to more.

I dont really carry this one but it sure has a good feel for an oldie. I made a copy and inked in what is indented into the sheath. I would like to talk to the original owner if alive and get the history.

Its sharpened to within about 3/8" of the guard. Nice knife Bill or I should say nice knives everybody. Johnnie, although they cant talk some knives can make you conjure up stories in your mind.

Well, today I will be carrying this EDC, which I probably carry half the time in a leater pouch in my pocket. It does get quite a bit of use. It is a Chris Bostwick folder. Remember this one Bill?
I usually bring it when I go to the shop.

Had to wear wool slacks to work today, so needed to carry something small that wouldn't feel like a lead weight in the pocket. Here was my choice -- Spyderco Kiwi with amber bone scales:

well it's windy in north tejas so my favorite knife today is this old schrade.

longbeachbum... I LIKE the Kiwi... Whats the closed oal? That blade would make a 'great' carry for what I do..
