Wow you guys are killing me When I retire I'm going to send my 112 which is the first work-knife I bought in to mother Buck to be custonized to the hilt .

here is two of my workers helping me do a brake job on mothers car

Visited my good buddy Louie on June 14th; he was my first company commander after I graduated from OCS at Ft. Bragg in 1975 and has become one of my best friends over the years. He made us some great steak sandwiches for lunch, we hoisted a couple of Blue Moon's to toast the Army's 237th birthday, then we talked guns and knives. He opened his safe and started showing me different firearms and knives that he owns. He pulled out this Buck 110, still NIB, that he thinks he bought at the PX at Ft. Hood TX in 1967/68 - it has the "upside down" tang marking and came in a two piece yellow/cream box (marked for a $13.78 sale price!) Thought you might like to see it (he has a 105 too, I will post those pictures in the appropriate thread).

I just picked this one up. It has NS bolsters and charcoal wood scales.

It's an aftermarket conversion and re-handle. I've wanted a NS 110 for a long time when I ran acrossed this one. I'm pretty sure it was done by Wirtz Wire. Check their link below.

I've never taken to the abrubt and too proud crown on the crux of the clip on 110. For 35 stinking years, it's just bugged me.

I've been playing around with Opinels for the couple of years. Drunk with the success of declipping cheap Opinels, I finally took the files to my 110.

Knocked off its shark like crown. Added a slight curve to the spine to better match the curve of the handle. Heres the result next to its now nervous kid brother.

Ever think about taking the top of the clip point off and drop pointing the sucker? Might look good.

Dose anyone know of a one sided black blade? I have one but think it may be a fake, can't find any info on it

Posting pictures of the knife will be your best bet for getting info, if you can It doesn't sound familiar to me but you can bet that someone will know what it is and wether or not it's correct if they can see it

I can't make out the tang stamp but it looks like a 110 BOS

Do a search for Buck 110 BOS and see if it is a match

bought this about 30 years back I think had for got I had it!

By way of introduction, here is my 110 folding hunter with finger grooves. It's a 'four dot' that I purchased in the early 80's.
