Yes sir for sure, I get it!
That's a great looking old knife! You have a real treasure.Oledadsknives wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 12:20 am This is a fixed blade that my grandfather made way back when out of an old sawmill blade. Made a sheath with what he could scrounge up I guess. It ain’t pretty but he made it to use. He passed in the early 70’s and My mom had it in the drawer in the kitchen and told me they always used it to clean fish because it was always razor sharp. Dad passed it to me about 20 years ago. Good to know where I got my love of knife making and collecting from!

Yes, it’s a fantastic knife. I love the design of the handle. Think they copy an old Roman knife design.
The sadest is that we found a few great knifes in a drawer after my uncle passed away november last year. But I know he was in the swedish army the last years of WWII. Think he had it in a drawer since late 1940’s.
Cool knife your grandfather made. Glad you now have it.Oledadsknives wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 12:20 am This is a fixed blade that my grandfather made way back when out of an old sawmill blade. Nice bunch of Beckers Garry!
Killer knife. Love the old WW2 relics. Uncle Grant brought home a similar one from the war. He spent weeks in a fox hole eating nothing but beer and raisins and brought back some killer souveneirs. That's a sweet relic and sweet dagger. Love the embellishments they put on them.TomTop wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 12:14 pm My early (made between 1933-1936) SA Dagger, made by C Linder, Solinger, Germany. I-Man it has a great feel to it, definitely one of my favorites for "no-slip-grip"
