Good eye Dave. That knife is a Wayne Stainless (Japan). Goins says g 1921-1940 but I can't find much more information on these knives. I bought it for a parts knife because I have two other ones, hoping to one day be able to make one good one. The main blade on this one is broken, but it sure does have some nice bone on it. cheers

Antique store find today.... Cattaraugus single blade barlow with a bone handle. Blade is a bit short and I might have overpaid at $9.50

Yeah, just been busy at home. Between projects involving the house, the kid and trying to get ready for the Oregon Knife Show in two weeks, it has been hectic.....

Today's estate sale finds...

I won this knife in a drawing out of a hat. The funniest thing is the draw was over but the daughter of the man running it reached in the hat and drew my number. He decided to do a very cool thing and sent me this knife as a bonus give away. I know it's a Parker Japan match to the Case 07 pattern made for Sears Craftsman in the 80's. It's more stout than any Case mini trapper I've ever seen. Do you Guys know any more about it? Type of blade steel? Were there other patterns done at the same time?

Todays find a Mora Canadian belt knife has a great pantina but wouldn't get in my hunting bag nice workable steel.Anyone know any history on these belt knives from Mora??Thanks

dogg -- I'm surprised to see it's a Mora. It looks like a Grohmann. I've liked that profile from the first one I saw. It's a shame you're not satisfied with the steel.

Janesville was fun. Got to spend some time with 313 Mike. Met Ken Erickson and had a pleasant chat with him. Met a couple of old Marines. Got to spend some time with Keith (Ozzie Marie). He says even though he doesn't post much these days, he visits AAPK at least once a day and sometimes twice. And bought a couple of knives.

I wasn't going to post this knife because I'm embarrassed I bought it. Well not that I bought it so much as paying waaaaay to much for it. It's a Robeson 622195 3" Doctor's Knife. The fella who sold it to me is a Marine veteran of the Korean War and knows Charlie Noyes. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about when he told me the handles were bone. They're not. They're Delrin®. I don't think he was trying to deceive. The Delrin® is so good on the knife, I don't think he knew. It's still a nice little knife and once cleaned up and oiled the snap is ferocious. My fault. I knew better. Live and learn.

Been thinking quite a bit about a Benchmade lately. One of the vendors had several at crazy low prices. The Magpie in me said bring this one home. It's 111H20-YEL Dive Knife. What a HORSE. 4-5/8" closed and the blade is 110 thousandths thick and very sharp. I'll never use it but I like it.

Nnooooooo Jerry I like the steel it's the shape of the knife as a fixed blade that I don't like for a hunting knife,I had her shaving sharp in a moment or two

Oh. I haven't hunted in 50 years so I couldn't comment on that other than to say it's always been the blade shape that I like.

I didn't recognize that brand so I called up my friend Google and did a little research. It's interesting that the knife comes out of Russia. Kizlyar has some pretty cool designs and that Bloke X you got is a beast. Neat knife. Thanks for sharing.
