Ha! It mighta been a hobbit Marco. He made the best out of what he could afford I guess. My granddaughter wants it when I move on! All that I have of my dad's vast amount of stuff (tools, bikes, motorcycles, an antique car collection... all gone 
) .... 
... All I have left is my Case XX that he gave me when I was a bratty 'lil kid. And all I have from my uncle is a large beautiful western lock-back folder So passing it on keeps a connection as one generation passes into another... Thanks M.M. !

You are right dog! I feel very lucky to have stuff from my grandad and dad & mom to pass on. My dad was a custom gun builder so I have some rifles to pass on. He also did oil paintings and made 3 quilts, and I have some of each to pass on to grandkids. Mom made many quilts and doilies and such that will be passed on. Just keeping that memory alive is a great thing to pass to heirs imho.
