Today I added this pocket knife to my collection. It's a GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle/frame, hawkbill pruner. It is NOT in my previously posted group pictures. It needed no cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

I’ve been trying to be judicious (haha) in my wire jack purchases. This had a couple of things going for it, the double tang stamp(!) and the claim that it had a black insert. I was dubious about that because I had a feeling it was a dark green one from the Girl Scout Chow Kit. For $15.50 I couldn’t go wrong.
Unti I’m proven wrong it’s a small spear point with a double tang stamp in dark green.

This is my most recent addition to my wire handle/frame, pocket knife collection. It's a GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle/frame, hawkbill pruner. It needed very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Only some of the scratches are mine. The action on this one was pretty rough so I figured I’d see what I can do. Cleaned, oiled and sharpened it (I’m getting better) and will carry it for a while. I’ve never pinned down the original selling price of these but the Chow Kits were one dollar and that included a fork, spoon, and leather carrying case in addition to the knife. Deal of the century!

This is going to be a long term affair Skip. All I've done is ask and ask so far. I'll be back in a few months and try again.
