Here is one I just aquired, J.Y. Moore & co, 3 1/2". Blade is etched "Razor Steel, Price 50 Cents". Goins lists no info other than "N.Y.". If anyone has any knowledge of this maker, or better yet, owns a knife by this maker, please chime in.

Edit: "maker" is probably an incorrect term, I'm guessing that this was an import firm no country of origin listed

I recently acquired this Empire ebony jack in the POS exchange. Still snaps like a bear trap. Sharpened it up and in my pocket.

Henry Sears & Son 1865

Dang Q, that looks fabulous for 160 years old. I liked Sears ever since I was small and could thumb through the catalog. Brought back a bunch of memories with that one. Bravo.

Mahalo, Ivoryman 1865 is not actually the year this knife was made (would be super cool if it were ), it's part of the name of the brand...possibly the year the company was founded, although I'm not 100% certain. I'm sure a vintage knife expert on AAPK knows, though, and hopefully will enlighten us.

Here’s one with a Van Camp H & I Co stamp. I know that Van Camp was a hardware & iron concern that had knives made by actual knife companies. I don’t know which company might have made this one, and I’m no expert, but based on my limited research, I am slightly skeptical about the authenticity Perhaps an expert will weigh in with an opinion
