The round shield with the crown on those Imperials above showed
up in the '60s and was used right up til the end.

Cool little "utility gent" Jerry! Never seen that pattern from Richards before.
It does look bigger in the pictures!

That toothpick is open ground for a name, singin'! First time I've come across those colors!
Got it in a two fer when I was mainly focused on the full main blade of a NYKC Hammer at auction!
She cleaned up well ::nod::

Boy she sure did! But was the Hammer a wood handled knife or was it just too dirty to see the stripes? ::shrug::

Sorry for the confusion there... the toothpick is propped up against
an arched stamp butter & molasses Colonial (blades are shot, one for the stamp collection).

The wood handle NYKC cigar turned out to be Cocabola!! The blade is full length but
is down on the width. The kick is also GONE!! ::dang:: It's still repairable though.

I just wanted a streetlight stamp, Joe. Now that I have the stamp, I guess it doesn't matter what size knife it came on.

This little "Jack Come Lately" went from a spud to a stud fairly easily.
It has brass liners too!! :D

WOW Joe, you brought another one back to the land of the livin! WTG, I don't have a knife like this but sure do like them handles. ::tu:: ::tu:: I think some of the more interesting handles (like this one) were all bought FAST because they jumped off the counter displays. Same reason you just don't see many of the original "Jiffy JackMasters" (or magic knives) out there in anything but the white pearl handles. People thought they were interesting and bought them. Same with Kamp Kings too.

Great Gino!

That's the Cub Hunter. They were most all souvenir knives.
They still bring a surprising price at auction... around $15 or
more for a nice example. ::nod::
(and that's why my card is empty  )

Dang Joe, you're pullin cards out of thin air over there! Never seen that one before. BTW, I didn't win the Kamp King tonight. Some other dude wanted it worse than me and payed for it too! I keep my limits and save up for the real finds as usual. ::nod::

Here's an early Barlow Hammer KP. Klearpearl is what it's called. This thing is pretty raoched but I'm gonna take it completely apart and try to bring it back. There is no snap on either blades but there's also a bunch of rust in the joints, needs a good cleanin! Here's how it looked when it arrived. You can't tell from the pic but there is a pretty good amount of rust under the shells on this thing, gives the handles that tan color. It's time to put the JoeDirt method to work once again! ::ds::

Then taking the handles off and soakin them in very hot water so you can remove the cell without breakin it. Now it's time to clean the handles off of rust as well as the cell wraps.
Image
It's soo easy to break or crack a cell wrap that you have to be very careful and feel your way!
Image
Here's the knife without handles now and after takin most of the rust off it as well.

Anyway, here's the finish! You may not see much of a change but I sure do. Fully restored snap on both blades and all the rust has been searched out and destroyed. Yeah the main clip has a broken tip but I wont tell if you don't ::sneaky::

Sweet find garddog! I'm thinkin this one is a regular Barlow. Thanks guys, it's always fun to have a project.
These cell wraps are pretty easy to work with as long as your patience doesn't wear thin.
