Abundant in southern Arizona, I found them highly interesting and smart. Mr. Coyote never had a chance no matter how many ACME anvils he deployed.

Had a group of Bank Swallow zooming over our property this afternoon. Not homesteading like our Rough-Winged swallows, just visiting.

I think a cat would have to be very lucky. Also saw Peacocks go after big snakes.

Turkeys must be rambling all around the country. We saw this hen and her little flock of four several times yesterday.

Cool Turkeys and Guinea Fowl, fellows. I have not seen a Guinea Fowl for years. They never were common in this area, but a few folks would keep them. Probably those folks got old.
The few times I have seen Roadrunners I found them very interesting to watch. Here is one I managed to photograph in Big Bend National Park a few years ago.

Nice shot Mel. The one we saw was like a hen on a hot rock and refused to pose for a good clear photo.

I've never had Guinea fowl my self but my neighbor had them when I was growing up and they visited us every day. He past away and they died out I guess and for years there wasn't any around, then the old man that had the Guinea's of my youth's granddaughter moved in a couple of doors down and she had all kinds of exotic birds including Guineas and they visited me every day just as her grandpa's had years ago. She past and the Guinea's disappeared. The photo that I snapped the other day is about a half a mile up the road and was the first time I'd seen them. I've been told that they eat a lot of ticks that would make them worth while, I hope those come down and visit me.

Great pictures, Floyd, Wow! I need a simple camera with a telephoto lens, that is so neat.

Thanks gentlemen, we were far enough away to not disturb them. Very fortunate to be at the right place at the right time. They sure fascinate me.

Thanks fellows. For every decent photo I have a lot like this one. If you look real close, maybe with a magnifier, you can almost see the eagle in this photo!

Mel, it is knice to see them even at a distance. I thought when they were flying that they came with crows pestering them.

These two showed up at the feeder today and I could not resist pic's of them, especially the male. I think him to be a male house finch.
