While here going to post pics of the Model # 9511 Camillus “ Red Cross” knife with spoon . There’s a great 4 page read regarding this here under Holley / Camillus XMAS knife. Would post the link but haven’t got that much tech savvy yet . Anyway here it is,some may have saw it already,want to get it over here in the Camillus Section ,so here it is .

Couple old ones picked up recently a toe and a swing guard, both came from a seller in Camillus NY.

Thanks JP, the swing guard is 4 line, the toe has had the tangs ground so only the last line remains. Story I got is they came from an estate that had a grandfather or great grandfather that was a German immigrant that worked for Camillus.

John, that’s some beauty of a Farmer’s Jack, just gorgeous.
They are getting hard to find you acquired a dandy though, you have excellent taste in your knives !! Sure appreciate your sharing them with us

Yesterday, this became the latest CAMILLUS "pre-1960" pocket knife to join my collection. It is my third CAMILLUS 1958, single blade, 3 tool pocket knife. It joins my CAMILLUS 1949, a CAMILLUS 1957, the other two CAMILLUS 1958's and three CAMILLUS 1959's. All of these "pre-1960" pocket knives have been previously posted.

JohnR, you keep showing us amazing vintage knives always in top condition, anyone of which would be The Best knife in my collection. And you might well have at least 100 absolute top examples. I truly am in awe. I don't know how you manage to find these knives. Likely you are a friend of other top collectors.

Thank you Roland, I have been lucky and I have made friends with several other collectors that have very good eyes for vintage knives, the discussions we have had regarding knives have been a huge help in my ability to judge what makes a good old knife, thanks again.

John, your Toe and the Swing Guard and the Farmers Jack are just beautiful.
Outstanding examples of early fine old cutlery. The bones, the patterns, so nice to view.

This Camillus 3 line was a pleasant surprise, no size description in the BIN listing so I was thinking it was a peanut, very pleased when I opened the package and found it was a 3 5/8" small Trapper, most likely the oldest Trapper I have.

That is a very fine find JohnR. Wow! Great shape for such an older knife. Wonderful bone. You did super on that one. Love those old Camillus.
