Barry I have one that is almost all there .Just a small chip off the edge. They are fragile knives.

Also a Maher & Grosh budding knife with some etch remaining and a ivory spud.

Picked this up on Ebay a few nights ago B-I-N.Marshall Wells stockman with a punch made by New York Knife. Might have been close to mint before some dumbass took steel wool to a couple spots.

A.J Jordan is an interesting cutlery firm Mason, I too like the etch. I also like the story of how an American started a cutlery factory of his own in Sheffield. The reverse of what normally happened in the early years of American knife manufacturing.

Yes B,that's the first A J Jordan etched I've seen.I have a Jordan FJ ,but it's been buffed to death.

Roger and Barry have been stealing the show.

Mason ,that must be a rare knife,with the Jordan etch. Alfred Fields was intertwined between Sheffield and the States,he also had connections to Germany too.He went global before the internet.The Koester ( Kastor) Bros. too.

Dimitri, Wostenholm is one of my favorite names. I once had one of those,but not in that condition.

Thanks wlf, and yes Jordan knives aren't very common and less so with the AAA1 stamp on the blade. There certainly were some great importers and imported knives from around the turn of the twentieth century, and neat to see the links with various countries.

There are also some American made AJ Jordan marked knives.I have a toenail with the Marlins that was made by Clay Cutlery Andover.Clay was a also a Jordan.I believe a nephew if memory serves.It's not etched but I will find it and take a photo.

That's right about the Clays and Jordan. I had forgotten that I "might" have known that.

Thank you Lyle, It's not their best quality knife as it was probably made in the 1970's but the knife is in unused condition and the etch is attractive.

Maher & Grosh El Diablo etch,or most of one.Miller Brothers made.

Love the saber ground main and that big ole swedge.

That swell centered jack trips my trigger. All are nice but ebony and etched is a great combo anytime.
