I have been looking at the Yellowhorse/Case Fordite knives at Shepherd Hills, but cannot justify the $300 price point. So I started thinking, what do I have similar to those? . . . How about Abalone???!!!

David that Schrade stockman is a fine looking knife. Love the punch, long pull main and the swedge, and of course the scales.

I carry two pocket knives, my EDC is a Buck 418 Ultra Lite, I rotate my old traditional stockmans, Old Timer, Uncle Henry, Case, Boker's. Growing up back in the 60's Old Timers and Uncle Henry's were common in stores and very reasonably priced for a young boy. If you had a Case XX knife as a boy you had something!
