All About Pocket Knives

Stepping out today, fellas.
Glennbad reworked this frontier lockback for me, from an ugly black boxed folder to a woody sexpot!
The wood is curly Tazmanian blackwood, and those square lines are gone, instead, svelte!
Before: After: Gonna carry it a while and try a longer locking folder for a while.

Caleb, glad to hear that job is providing security. Work is a funny thing, as in odd funny. My hiking partner is an Old Testament scholar. He reminds me that our struggles with work are in our oldest story (e.g. "by the sweat of your brow...").

Today's carry.... Buck 112. Question I can't answer. Why is it that I prefer drop points but like this knife so much? Weird.

I'm taking this old Colonial cigar jack out for some exercise today, it was getting a little dusty on the shelf.

Thats good Charlie - I like seeing "working man" knives in use. I've been alternating between a Buck 303 and the little 3" Kabar jackknife I found in a pawn & gun last week. OH

It's a tad on the heavy side, due to the warncliffe blades thickness, but the finish is so smooth you' don't even feel it in your pocket really.

Had this one in the LFP today.

ive been packing this one for about a week now a little schrade old timer 330t it has some awsome steel it takes a good edge and keeps it well

I've been meaning to take a new pic or three but just have not had the chance.
Same 4 knives now for three or four weeks.

hi, it's a custom by David Lepect (see http://www.davidlespect.com/ ) a french knifemaker : it's a titanium framelock with RWL34 blade - blade lenght about 11cm (sorry you should make the conversion) - David begin in this work 6/7 years ago.

I am still carrying my GEC Outlaw and I am just really liking this knife, I liked my BF with the opener a lot also but I never really loved the main blade (always been partial to clip blades) but this Outlaw has the perfect combo of blades and the perfect extra touches I look for in a knife down to the bone color.

That is one great knife, Gino!! I can see why you love everything about it! I don't know about anyone else, but I sure never get tired of seein' it!!

Gino, funny how prefs go. I've never warmed up to clips on slippies and strongly want a cap lifter. That Outlaw is nice but nothing compared to the BF knife.

Man I wish GEC would put that into production so the rest of us could get in on that one.

EDITED TO ADD: I should mention that the Leatherman Micra in my LFP is so danged useful and so small, it's really freed me to carry single bladed knives in my RFP. Very hard to see a path back to carrying a multi blade knife of any sort at this point. The BF knife is really the only contender. Sort of like an MG. I'm glad friends have them.

stancaiman....I don't think that I have seen one quite like that....very nice.

Gino....that is a sweety....I'm thinking about getting one.
