Dogg, not that you need any help picking out knives, but for a week long hunting trip I usually bring along a heavy duty fixed blade for rough use around camp, like my KaBar USMC,, a thinner profile fixed blade for food prep, and a fixed blade with alot of belly for skinning. I also bring a folding belt knife, like my Old Timer 125OT for in the woods, field dressing, and and my alox SAK Farmer, also to carry in the field. I like that little saw. The Benchmade Griptillian comes along as a clip on knife for around camp, and the Case large stockman too because it's a tradition. Of course I also bring along a few other select traditionals I want to show off to the guys.
I know that's knife overkill, but hey, we are knife lovers, right? Besides, I am a minimalist with the rest of my gear so it all evens out!
All great suggestions Mike and I’ll follow those with a Ontario PST,125ot,89ot, Buck 118+301 and lastly my new 50 anniversary Buck 112 all along your suggestions now add these two items

Looks like fun, gard! I'm spending Election Day through Veterans Day Saturday at the farm. Looking forward to some woods hiking and ATVing.

Going with a well worn 4-liner from the 30's today, it's an excellent fruit knife. Just like George used to carry.
