Picked up this Colonial Forest Master w/ brown scales and 2 blades at an estate sale Friday.

The shield is upside down, but I like it.

That is the correct pommel for a round stag handle knife.

Thanx MB,the scales are rough on the NYK BUT THE BLADES ARE FULL good one to work on when I retire.

I went junking today looking for pocket knives. No pocket knives but I did find a couple of things, though I'm not sure what they are. I paid $2.50 total.

The item on the top has a blade on one end. The other end has two blades with serrations. The top edges of these blades are sharpened as well. The only markings on it are "18-8 Stainless Japan." Maybe it's some kind of kitchen tool?

The second item may not even be cutlery-related, but I plan on using it as a blade pick. I just need to reshape the metal part.

Interesting guesses, guys. Unfortunately no one who knows for sure has piped up yet, so I started a thread in the Knife Related Q&A section. Hopefully that will help us get to the bottom of this.

It does look like one, but I don't think it is. The entire "blade" is dull without any signs of use. It's also gold-tone in color. The guy I bought it from thought it may be used to spread soft cheeses on crackers, but i think the blade is a bit small compared to cheese spreaders I've seen.

I don't know if you could characterize this as a "find" or not but I picked this up last week while we were on R&R in the Loveland/Ft. Collins area (I was on R&R, she was there for work.). I dropped her off at work our first morning there and drove down to Golden for a visit at the Spyderco Factory Store.

One of the ladies in the store sharpened my old Delica while I browsed the showcases. When she finished (did a good job), I compared an orange Delica to an orange Tenacious. I decided the Tenacious was larger than is to my liking and bought the orange Delica. Don't ask me why because I don't know. I'm not really a fan of Spyderco knives. (at all)

Even with my 15% "Veterans Discount", I could have bought the knife $20 cheaper on eBay. It must be that "away from home with cash in your pocket" syndrome. That's the only thing I can think of.

I like that orange Delica Jerry! Very cool that you got to visit the factory store as well. My only Spydie is a Mannix 2 lightweight and I love it...Spyderco's may not be the prettiest knives, but they sure do carry easily and can take a beating. Great company as far as I can tell.
