Hmmmm. 4-1/8" closed is a mite larger than what trips my trigger but with the patriotic handles to tip the balance, I might, at some point in the future get a wild hair for one of these 2 iterations of that pattern.

Saw a post on these CASE Canvas Executive Trappers. I haven't purchased a knife in
about a month so I decided to go ahead and see what these are like. I got the
EXECUTIVE TRAPPER – ELEGANT SCROLL CANVAS

These look really nice!
I plan to buy that issue and keep it for a dress knife. I don't get how that model is cheaper than the others with engraved, and not printed patterns.
Reminds me a lot of the Montana Silversmiths embellished Spydercos that used to be given out as rodeo awards in lieu of buckles, and they were super-expensive.

I said the same thing when I saw these--they should've also offered the Mini Trapper with the same handles.

Been a while since my last knife purchase.
I really like looks of this one. 3.75" closed, just my size.

I'm trying to cut back, but for sure I'll be picking up one of those next month, as RR is something I know I'll be able to afford. The handles look great!

I'm guessing blue, green, red, and black are the only non-silver, non-special colors Victorinox will let companies order these days?
I can't say for sure, but it seems to be that way. Why they don't offer more colors is a mystery to me. They've proven they can do it, but they restrict them to the Classic SD (a model I certainly do
not need any more of). I have to wonder how receptive they'd be to an SFO.
David and Jerry, those are some nice-looking Cases. And 4.125 inches is a mite big for me anymore, too.

Sore point my friend. We have a retail online store that has a selection of Case knives, but just been informed Sold Out. Not Happy Jan. Should not have been on their inventory as being in stock.

Kershaw just informed me that the four knives (Scallion, Chive, Chubby, and DWO) I sent to them for sharpening (and some other miscellaneous work) were done, and were being shipped back to me.
These are old, crappy photos, and in some cases, the ones the seller originally had in listings as far back as 2018 when the Chubby was bought.
The Scallion had a slightly short blade that would've been made worse by the factory equipment, so they offered to replace it as after sharpening, it wouldn't have been able to be blocked closed by the tip safety. $25 was a little steep, but a new Scallion is $50, and they don't make this version for Snap-On anymore. The knife was dated 2003, so it was a pretty early one.
As you can see in the photo I took when I bought the knife, it was really beat up, so needing to have the blade replaced doesn't surprise me.
Chive just needed a sharpening job, as well as having its clip screws tightened (I'd lost my T6 driver).
The Chubby had been "professionally" sharpened by the seller, and the edge was much too thin for the quite basic AUS-6, and blunted quickly. I also asked if they could replace the grip panel if at all possible, and nothing was said either way, so I'm wondering if they'd have parts. It looks awful, as I think whoever had it before me was using it as a dog toy from the looks of it.
Blue DWO. Just needed sharpening, but the grip was really loose.
Kershaw recently sold a black Chinese-made DWO in a Walmart gift pack, so maybe they do have the grips still on hand? However, the official solution when I emailed them (this was just before the Walmart version showed up that winter) was to glue it, so maybe that's what they did.

Had indigestion, couldn't really sleep, and ended up staying up a bit late, but I'm glad I did. They had three yesterday when I went to bed--and now it's down to one.
They've been listing a ton of engraving mistakes on the website lately, ranging from quite mild discounts to great ones.
Moore Maker 3206 Trapper. This is based on the "Bullet" Trapper pattern, originally produced by Camillus, and I think continued with Bear when they got the Remington license. . These have been sitting around at Moore Maker for years, so I am hoping it's from Camillus, not Bear or Utica, as there was no "B" or "U" after the number.
I am not sure which one of these I am getting. They are normally $93 ($107 shipped), but they had a great sale on engraving mistakes, and it was $49, $65 with Moore Maker's typically high shipping.
I prefer the energy company logo, as the other two are personal engravings for individuals. I plan to use this one, so it really doesn't matter. I may save up and have some stag put on it.

Also comes with this sheath for the price. Should keep the knife from getting lost.

Cody I got the email notice on those engraving mistake knives and I just haven't seen one yet that I want to buy.
Be sure to let us know how the one you ordered turn out.

Thank you sir!
Thought I'd try out a Puma Tec brand knife to see how they are.

Had an eye on these for a while. I would have prefered it if the handles were made of a natural material but G10 will have to work.

Nice! That doesn't look to be a model the US importer (whose line seems completely different for some reason) carries. I found an older "Rambler" model on the store here, but Puma used quite cheap looking plastic handles on that line of lockbacks, yet they're still more expensive than most others. Seems any older knife that's a Puma is expensive.

Agreed Cody. Puma knives always seem to sell high on the Bay over here. Took me a couple of years to find a Puma Bantam at a fair price.
Puma Tec I believe to be made overseas somewhere.
