The picture sucks. It's much better in hand.

I just noticed. Is Case bringing back the "new grind"?

Awesome Skip!New_Windsor_NY wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 12:18 am Today I add these two pocket knives to my collection. They both are CASE XX (2005), 6207 SS, 2 blade, Orange County Choppers, mini trapper pocket knives. They both came with their tins (not pictured). They didn't need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are. All the pocket knives in the last picture have orange handles. A couple just appear to have yellow handles.

Yuck. That jigging is horrible. Looks something by Paki Stan.dlr110 wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 3:32 pm Tom I understand your disappointment with CASE. There are several members of the Case Collector's Club, including me, that are very displeased with the 2020 Forum Knives we purchased this year and just received. It is a Buffalo Horn Jigged Mid Folding Hunter. Right out of the box mine had play in the blade, both laterally and horizontally. There were a couple of tool scratches on one scale and the jigging was badly placed to close to the upper edge. The tang stamp looked very bad. These were some of the same issues others are talking about with this knife. You would have thought for it's members the quality control would have been better and to my knowledge CASE has not responded yet.

see if they can do anything to rectify the situation. I don't know what
their return or exchange policy is. Who knows, you may get lucky.
Anyway, nice items.![]()

That's exactly what my father always told me & words that I try to live by. Guess that's why I hate to see "Half @ss" stuff.
Tom,that wouldnβt hurt ,itβs your knife now, and as you said earlier ,it will make a great knife.Put your personal touch on it and slide it in your pocket, enjoy .TPK wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 5:51 pmThat's exactly what my father always told me & words that I try to live by. About the dull ebony scales.![]()
Thinking about soaking the whole knife in baby oil or some other oil for a few days & then sealing them with Ren Wax.![]()
Soaking in a ZIP LOCK bag of baby oil. Think I'll leave it it there for a week or so. Looks better already.Ripster wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 6:01 pmTom,that wouldnβt hurt ,itβs your knife now, and as you said earlier ,it will make a great knife.Put your personal touch on it and slide it in your pocket, enjoy .TPK wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 5:51 pmThat's exactly what my father always told me & words that I try to live by. Take care ,enjoy ,stay safe![]()

David.. When I was a member (no longer) and the Whittler Forum knife came out the one I got was such a POS that I gave it away to another member who rehandled and fixed all the flaws.. I dont know if he still has it or not.. I sold my other Forum knives and did not look back.. Never bought another..dlr110 wrote: βSun Dec 13, 2020 3:32 pm Tom I understand your disappointment with CASE.
